Creating, Editing and Removing Classes - Admin

From have an administrative account you have the ability to modify all classes registered at your school.

If you have a teaching account without administrative access and would like to make changes to classes that belong to you please see the Creating, Editing and Removing Classes - Teacher article.

This guide does not cover moving students from one class to another, for that please refer to the Managing Students - teacher article for teachers and the Managing Students - Admin article for administrators.

Creating a class

0. Log in at https://app.literacyplanet.com/login (guide here)
1. Click on the 'Administration' button
2. Click on the 'Users' tab
3. Click on the 'Manage Classes' sub-tab
4. Hover over the green cog and click 'New Class'
5. Use the drop down menu to select which teacher the class will be assigned to
6. Type the name you would like for the class you are creating
7. Click save to create the class

 

Editing a class

1. Click on the 'Administration' button
2. Click on the 'Users' tab
3. Click on the 'Manage Classes' sub-tab
4. (optional) Click on the 'search' button to search for classes by name
5. (optional) Click on the drop down box to narrow down your search to specific teachers
6. Hover over the grey cog that corresponds to the class you wish to edit and click 'Edit'
7. If you need to reassign a class to a different teacher click the drop down box
8. Type the new name for the class
9. Click 'Save' to finalize your changes

 

Deleting a class

Before deleting a class ensure that it doesn't contain any students. Please refer to the Manage Students - Admin guide.

1. Click on the 'Administration' button
2. Click on the 'Users' tab
3. Click on the 'Manage Classes' sub-tab
4. (optional) Click on the 'search' button to search for classes by name
5. (optional) Click on the drop down box to narrow down your search to specific teachers
6. Hover over the grey cog that corresponds to the class you wish to edit and click 'Delete'
7. You are now presented with a window giving you the option to delete the specified class, click 'Yes' to remove the class
